Everyone should always have art they love in their space, their home! Art is what adds the mystery! The spice! It is a hidden glimmer into the soul of a residence and it’s resider/s.
I love finding art for clients!
Sometimes it can be as simple and special as selecting and framing drawings created by a client’s children. Other times it involves selecting pieces that have been in a family’s estate for years and suddenly needing to decide on what to keep. Sometimes it involves finding the perfect addition to a current collection or starting a new collection…regardless it’s so much fun!
A tip! ALWAYS find and collect art that truly resonates with you instead of following the latest art trends. Popularity does not guarantee value over years. Invest in pieces that speak to you and you Love! So often it’s an after thought, a piece is selected that matches your decor….it really isn’t about that. Great art is an investment, pieces you will presumably have for a long time, and if collecting one can always hope for perhaps an increase in their value, but regardless, you want to make sure you LOVE it with or without the decor!
A very wise and favourite art history professor of mine used to say “Ms W. what do you SEE, what does it SAY…”
